I find absolutely no information about them either by googling or by going to the WGA website. Do you have more information on them?

in fact l wrote their name wrongly, sorry for that. but the right name is The Screnplay Agency and their website is
www.thescreenplayagency.com The person who l have been dealing with is called Sherry Fine and she signs as vice-president. She sends what seems to be standard automated messages and she won't be drawn into saying what other writers do they represent. Just seen that someone says some not so okay things about them on indie-talk. |

And this:
"Well, lack of a reading fee isn't a complete protection any longer since the Literary Agency Group encompassing ST Literary Agency, the New York Literary Agency, the Poetry Agency, the Screenplay Agency, the Christian Literary Agency, and the Children's Literary Agency now claim not to charge a reading fee since they are presently getting their fees from critiques and editing services that they recommend which are not independent third party businesses as they claim, but are actually owned by the same man and thus provide the whole scam with its income. However, that's merely the present day exception to the rule. I feel certain that a few more scammers will eventually follow when they realize that writers have learned not to pay any up front fees. That or they'll finally leave the industry." From this thread: www.absolutewrite.com/for...post419579 I'd stay away from it. Zoditch |

I have no connection or information about them. Since you are interested in them, I'd just ask them.

I didn't say anything about Christian, I just quoted what I found by googling and placed some links here for you. Those quotes were other people talking about them. I think Bill was advising you to go to those forums and ask them or to just ask The Screenwriters Agency about them.
The bottom line is that it doesn't seem like the kind of place to be involved, no matter what they promise upfront. But caveat emptor, and all that. Zoditch |

Re: the screenwriters literary agency | ||

I was saying...
When you have a question about a producer - why not just ask the producer? When you have a question about an agent - just ask the agent! Who do they represent? What was their last sale? How many of their writers are working? Real agents want to brag about their clients & successes. If they say "none of your business" I'd worry. Real producers have posters from their films on the walls. If they say "we have several projects in various stages of development" that sounds a lot like "we've never actually made a movie" to me. Real producers actually produce movies. Ask them. - Bill - Bill Script Tip Of The Day
